This is a NEW full carbon (carbon laminate blade and shaft) 'Euro' paddle from ORKA Paddles in South Africa. ORKA is a well-known maker of wing paddles; this is their standard straight shaft paddle. Like a wing paddle, this paddle is adjustable in length over a 10 cm range from 210-220 cm. This is a very useful feature; it's one of the things I like a lot about my ORKA wing paddle. You can shorten the paddle to get a 'lower gear' for endurance paddling, or change the paddle length to suit different boats or paddlers. The adjustment is easy - you can change it in a few seconds while paddling - and very secure. The same adjustment allows setting the blades for either left or right feather angle. I've paddled with the same paddle in the 205-215 length and it is a very nice feeling and efficient paddle. Full carbon fiber laminate blade and shaft - not black-tinted plastic blades like some "carbon" paddles. Weight is 900 g. (Note- some published paddle weights are underestimates - this is the actual paddle weight.)
