Job Description ColdStar Solutions is looking for a 5 Ton Truck Driver to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be prepared to work Vancouver Island delivery, five days per week, morning start. This pickup & delivery (P&D) position is physical in nature and requires flexibility with driving to various South Vancouver Island locations on a day-to-day basis. There is also part-time hours available. The successful candidate will be customer focused, and have a positive attitude. $1,000 signing bonus upon completion of probationary period (90 days). Qualifications: 1 year experience driving a Five-Ton Truck Air brake certification A clean driver`s abstract Experience driving a manual transmission required Experience using power jacks, an asset Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly required Knowledge of reefer settings & food temperature hauling requirements, an asset Knowledge of local roads & highways, an asset Responsibilities: General P&D activities such as: safe driving, hand bombing, related paperwork, customer service Communicate effectively and respectfully with Dispatch and Customers Report all incidents and safety hazards in a timely manner to the supervisor or Dispatch ColdStar Solutions is committed to treating all employees with respect and providing a safe work environment.
