Used 2001 Subaru Forester. I've had it for a year and a half. It has served me very well, but is no longer a reliable daily driver due to the amount of rust making repairs and maintenance extremely difficult (see below) The Facts: - Manual transmission - All wheel drive - 182,000 km - Alternator and AC belts replaced and adjusted this month - New all-season, mud and snow rated tires as of Feb 2024 The Good: - Engine runs great - Sound system and all electronics work as far as I can tell - Heated seats The Bad: - Lots of rust on the underside, including: - Failing left rear wheel bearing, subframe is falling apart (see pictures) - Broken sway bar (one link broken in half, other is entirely missing) - Tried to have a wheel alignment done, but couldn't get the back wheels done because the bolts were too rusted - Broken trunk latch handle. 3/4 bolts have rusted and broken in half. - AC doesn't work - Sticky clutch, often very hard to get into 1st and reverse - Due to broken sway bar, it rides very loud and rattles If you want a project car or need it for parts, make me an offer and we can negotiate.
