2004 Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4 Almost a one owner car, we’ve owned it since 2006, lady driven. This jeep has been extremely well maintained. Transmission, front diff and transfer case fluid have all recently changed at bullfrog transmission. The rear diff was just rebuild in August at bullfrog ($1300, have receipt). The 4x4 works great and has barley ever been used, only on the rare snowy days in Victoria. Michelin tires have lots of life left, purchased in 2019 from Costco (also have a receipt). The suspension is in excellent shape, recent front tie rod ends and shocks and springs front a rear have been replaced within a few years. Glass is good no cracks or chips. Upgraded head unit with Bluetooth hands free. Mileage is 278,000 kms, daily driver, due to being so well maintained it still drives like a new car. Cosmetically it has a small rip in the driver’s seat, dent in the rear bumper and rust forming on both sides under the doors (See photos). Mechanically the engine light comes on and off and has done this for many years and is due to an O2 sensor and it always turns back off. It has an oil leak from the valve cover gaskets. Rarely on hot starts sometimes sounds like it wants to stall on startup but if you give it a bit of gas or wait a few minutes the issues always goes away. We took it to a mechanic about this but they couldn’t find a problem. The rear brakes will need a service at some point, they are not showing any signs of wear (they sound and feel fine) but our mechanic recommending getting them done soon.
