THE OPPORTUNITY Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full Time Cashier to work between Mon - Sat. The wage range is $16.50 - $17.55 per hour. You’ll be able to take advantage of company discounts on all products sold at Slegg Building Materials, and much more THE RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority • Greet and assist customers with purchases • Process all point of sale, returns and payment • Answering phones • Maintain product displays on selling floor in immediate area • Provide suggestions and recommendations on products and materials • General housekeeping duties • Disinfect and clean counter tops, phones and keyboards • Disinfecting and putting away returns • Cover reception as needed THE REQUIREMENTS • Previous cashier experience is an asset • Attention to detail • Superior customer service skills • Effective written and oral communication skills • Available to work flexible hours including weekends • Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs • Standing for long periods of time
