Currently, there is no resident manager, rather a caretaker who lives elsewhere. But he's and is semi-retiring. We decided that since the building has a suit for rent why not hire a resident manager instead of a caretaker? We decided this at the end of the workday today (Thursday), thus no good photos. A resident manager here is a part-time job with approx. 20 hours a week. About 4 hours a week cleaning and about 2 hours a week mowing and gardening. Those tasks are the caretaker aspect. The resident manager part is renting out the apartments, doing move-outs and communicating with the tenants, etc. We would train the right person or couple on how to do that. The rent for the suite is $1400. The BC Government says what resident managers need to be paid for certain sized buildings, for this one it is $912.88. Plus, $35.56 for each suite. So the total payment would be $1410.12. Again, the 2 bedroom unit is for rent. However, if someone is interested in it AND wants a part-time job that would pay for the rent, this might be for them.
