Zipper (or Pepper) is ready to find his new family! He’ll thrive with another dog and will be good with a cat if introduced properly. He’ll be happier with a woman as the leader of his pack. He’s gentle, sweet and loving. Ideally, he needs a kind and firm leader who’s comfortable with clear commands; a home with structure; a fenced outdoor space & a furry friend. He can be a good dog if you’re a young retiree, a work/stay-at-home mom, or a remote worker who wants a sweet, kind, gentle friend for their current furball. He’s more active in the mornings/afternoons and will want to have company, play, or stay busy. Mini Aussies get anxious when bored or with a lack of structure, so it's important to have some plans on how to keep them engaged. You can leave him at home for a few hours, but not a whole workday (this might change over time) -Small (22lbs) — just a bit larger than a large toy Aussie. -Good recall & knows typical commands (although he still needs them reinforced regularly) -Quiet (almost no barking), house trained; OK with crate, but can improve -Good with cats and kids -Neutered (Jan 2024), microchipped, registered with Saanich & under pet insurance -Turns 2 on April 30 -Up to date on shots, etc. -No smokers please -Rehoming fee (900) includes all his toys, beds, harness, collars, 3 beds & some food; Can include a classy wooden crate & a collapsible metal one.
