Sally was recently rescued from a high kill shelter in California where she spent over 4 months waiting to be saved. They estimated her age to be a year old, but we think she is younger, and still a puppy. Sally is very affectionate and loves to give kisses once you've earned her trust. She gets along well with her foster's dog and would do best in a home with another confident & friendly dog. Sally's favorite thing is FOOD! She loves to eat and loves her treats. She's very curious and loves being outside but like most rescues can be nervous about loud noises and ALL new things. As she is a young dog she needs time to explore the outdoors at her pace. No dog parks yet .. she's still too nervous and gets overwhelmed easily. Sally is a quick learner and is now potty trained and we are working on her leash skills and manners. As she's a puppy, Sally is still learning all the important stuff and needs someone that has the patience and time to continue her training. Sally would do best in a home with older children with dog experience. Sally is crate trained and sleeps through the night comfortably and enjoys quiet time in her crate when her fosters are out.
