What I've got here is a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT (GT is the hatchback designation). Parents bought this car new, I'm the second owner. No problems with it, selling because I recently got another vehicle and have no need for two. I've owned it for almost 100,000km and it's been super dependable and fuel efficient. Details: - Mag w heels, 5-speed standard transmission, leather heated seats, air conditioning, 2-way sunroof - Interior is in great condition. Leather has no holes or stains. - Gets between 7.5-8.5 l/100km fuel economy - High mileage but a lot of it was highway driving heading up island and to Mount Washington for ski season (hence the body rust. More on that later) - Maintenance and oil changes done on schedule, including things like timing belt. My mechanic commented on how clean the engine was looking when the valve cover gasket was changed a couple years ago. - Has a nice Alpine stereo and subwoofer installed. Issues: I'll be up front here with some of the work that could be done fix this vehicle up. - Body rust. I'm pretty sure this started with all my trips up the mountain and the salt on the road. I haven't been skiing in the past 4 or 5 years. - Parking brake cable snapped a couple years ago when I reefed on it. Being a standard transmission I haven't had any problems leaving it in gear with the wheels pointed into a curb. - O2 sensor (engine oxygen sensor) failed last year and has caused the 'check engine' light to turn on. Basically engine runs about 3% less efficiently. Mechanic plugged his computer to let me know and said it wasn't worth fixing on its own and should be done next time someone has to do work on the engine. Let me know if you have any questions. Reasonable offers considered!
