The Bill Mudge Residence is a 16 bed Community Residential Facility contracted with the Correctional Services of Canada. We require an on-call relief worker who is available for morning, afternoon or overnight shifts. OVERNIGHT AVAILABILITY IS A MUST. Suitable candidates will be able to provide full availability during the summer months and holidays. Duties include supervising parolees and offering support to the residents whom have been granted a form of conditional release by the Parole Board of Canada. Persons with a diploma/degree in a related field will be given preference. Experience is an asset. Hours aren’t guaranteed and the number of shifts vary month to month. This position would be ideal for someone wishing to supplement his or her income with another job; a semi-retired person; or someone looking to gain experience in this field. Students would have some flexibility to complete online schooling while on shift. This job is a mix of criminology and sociology, with mental health and addiction being a primary focal point.
