The Victoria Arion Male Choir Welcomes New Members

Attention all Male Singers We are actively seeking new singers for our non-auditioned choir. Our next session starts in January 2022. We sing in four-part harmony and our repertoire covers a wide variety of styles. Come and join us on Mondays at 7:00 pm. We meet at Cordova Bay United Church, 813 Claremont Ave. Our musical director is Sean Lampard-Quicke and our collaborative pianist is Jennifer Mitchell. Both professional and talented choral musicians. We also have up to three scholarships available for students in high school or university who will commit to singing with us for the rest of the season. The choir follows BC Health protocols and all members at in-person rehearsals are masked and fully vaccinated, with social distancing in place. Also, we have an on-line (Zoom) option if you prefer to rehearse at home. The Victoria Arion (aa-RIY-ahN) Male Choir is the only one of its type in the Victoria area following the merger of the Arion Male Voice Choir (possibly the oldest of its type in Canada) with the Victoria Male Voice Choir. Both choirs go back over 100 years and as one group we are realizing our combined dream of “a community of men singing for health and joy.” Become part of this exciting venture which is already proving to be a great success both musically and organizationally.
