The recorder is a fascinating, underrated instrument whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. Did you know it has hundreds of years of music written for it? There are recorder concertos by Bach and Vivaldi, and recorder sonatas by Handel. And they're beautiful. Recorders are simple and inexpensive to start learning, and the smaller ones are some of the most ergonomic instruments around, suitable for child-size hands, and for adults with hand or wrist injuries. I have experience in dealing with hand size and health constraints in playing musical instruments, and can help you learn how to work around them if this is an issue you're struggling with. I take students aged seven to 700, and would love to help you find your musical voice, or get it back again. If learning flute or piccolo is more your style, I also offer lessons in those instruments. -Introductory first lesson free! -half hour lesson $22 (best for beginners and children) -one hour lesson $35 (best for adult non-beginners)
