$30 · Warm hearted and Friendly Companion/Caregiver

Hello, I am interested in becoming a companion or caregiver for an elderly person in their home. I cared for both my mom and dad when they were getting older and could no longer care for themselves. It was the happiest time of my life. They were so much fun and so appreciative of the help. They were my darlings. I would like to nurture old folks again; it meant so much to me to be able to bring comfort and safety to another. I am currently volunteering with the Office of the Seniors Advocate conducting surveys and interviewing the residents in residential care homes. I love listening to their stories and encouraging them to express themselves. I am a friendly, warmhearted and caring woman. I know how much work it can be caring for those who have many needs. I am very comfortable being around elderly people with dementia. I can offer many services, such as cooking meals, driving them to appointments and around to all the nice sites of Victoria, bathing and all other aspects of daily living. I am comfortable going to doctor's appointments, visiting at the hospital, and ensuring all their needs are taken care of. I can offer overnight stays now and then.
