Aqua Lung Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a sewing machine operator to work in our Saanichton British Columbia facility. This role will be working in our production department primarily on an industrial sewing machine. This is a permanent full time role offering benefits and other great perks! Hours: 7:00am- 3:30pm Monday- Friday, flexible hours available Starting pay: $17 based on experience Machine Operator Responsibilities: • Meet daily output target • Inspect product during production to ensure the highest quality • Construct products as specified by the work order, samples, product guides and patterns • Assure that all work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly • Other duties and tasks may be assigned by manufacturing management as necessary Qualifications & Skills: • This position prefers previous experience in the sewing industry, but not necessary • Repetitive hand and arm movement capability required for various sewing positions • Frequent reaching, bending and sitting • Ability to work independently • Manual dexterity • Communication skills are essential to be able to work with the team • Must have the ability to work at a production pace while maintaining a high quality product with minimal mistakes
