Civil Foreperson

Business Unit: Chew Contracting Compensation: $35.80-$42.00/hr + 11.5% vacation pay, Union pension and benefits Chew Contracting has an exciting and immediate opening for a Civil Construction Foreman/Forewoman. The successful candidate would be responsible for managing their crew, trucks, and sub-trades to complete the project tasks. With support from the Superintendent and Project Management team, The Foreman/Forewoman would help the team accomplish it’s goal of a successful project delivered on time and within budget while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. What we offer: • Competitive pay • Comprehensive benefits package • Use of company assets including vehicle w/ fuel, cellphone, and tablet • Professional development, training, and advancement • Educational training and paid course work Responsibilities: • Manage crew, equipment, and subtrades to cohesively complete a project • Collaborate with Superintendent, Project Management, and Clients to ensure all aspects of the project are completed as expected • Reading engineering drawings, coordinating the days tasks, and managing paperwork • Leader in health and safety as well as company culture • Planning for the work ahead and communicating requirements to Superintendent and Project Management • Working with the crew for all operations including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, and surface work preparation Skills and Experience: • 5+ years of experience in Civil Construction in a similar role • Ability to lead, motivate, and promote growth within your crew • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings • Familiar with excavations, preparing sites to grade, and installation of sewer, storm, water, streetlighting, hydro, shaw, and telus utilities • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, specifications, equipment, and OH&S guidelines • CCA Gold Seal, an asset • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude • Effective verbal and written communication skills Requirements: • Must have a current and valid Class 5 driver’s license • Must be eligible to work in Canada Application Process: Click on the link below to apply: https://ralmax.bamboohr.com/jobs/view.php?id=132&source=aWQ9MTY%3D If you have any questions regarding this position or applying for the position, please reach out and email us at: hr@ralmax.com.
