$22 · ECE Room lead Supervisor Position

Duties will include: Plan, develop, and implement combined day long child care programs designed to meet children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative, cultural, emotional and developmental needs in a play-based environment; Understanding, knowledge and passion for working in a child-led Emergent/Reggio philosophy learning environment; Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music; Build children’s social and interpersonal skills as well as self-esteem, by establishing routines and positive guidance policies that allow children to feel secure, comfortable and safe; Provide supervision and guidance to children during daily activities, field trips and special activities; Adhere to BC Child Care Licensing standards of care and remain compliant to Licensing requirements; Establish and maintain good communication with children’s families and community agencies involved in children’s development; Supervise ECE/A staff, practicum students and sub staff within your room and provide guidance, leadership and direction on a daily basis; Work in collaboration with all other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive working environment; Assist in housekeeping duties. Qualifications: A current B.C. License to Practice as an Early Childhood Educator Valid and subsisting first aid certification Signed authorization to conduct a criminal record check Strong leadership skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our team Professionalism when working with staff, families and children at all times
