REAL PEOPLE NEEDED: Cannabis Culture Photo Project

Hello, my name is Mike, I am a local photographer looking to connect with users of both recreational and medicinal cannabis that are comfortable being themselves, telling a bit about their story as it relates to cannabis and being artistically, authentically and candidly photographed for a personal photo journalism style project I am working on with the primary goal of digging deeper into real cannabis culture, not the prevalence of 'bud p*rn' (studio lit photos of flower) or the posed and phoney tendency to try and make the culture sexy (it can be that too, but the culture is way more interesting and dynamic than this and this is what I am exploring). The photography style will be primarily portrait with elements of documentary in order to capture you as a person more intimately - this could range from a detail angle shot of your multi-coloured hairstyle as you look out at the ocean, to an upclose image of a tattoo that has some significance, or a detail shot of you rolling a joint etc. etc... In exchange for your time you will have access to professionally shot and edited images of yourself for unlimited, non-commercial usage (for example personal social media). Details of shoot times, locations, model release, copyright, and usage terms will be shared upon contact. All images will be primarily shot outdoors in public spaces either near where you feel comfortable or we can mutually agree to pick a cool spot to shoot, generally later in the day when the light is good. Friends are welcome to tag along or participate as well but the focus is generally to portray individuals. Time alotted will be roughly 1 hour to hang out and shoot after pre-determined location has been agreed upon. I am super excited about this project and really hope to collaborate with a wide variety of genuinely interested, fun and good-hearted people. There are no parameters for age (although you must be 18yrs old), sex, race, or social status (I would prefer to have a wide range of subjects from all legal ages and backgrounds).
