Organic Gardener seeks small plot to run early season vegetables in Oakland’s/ Cedarhill area starting the first week of January. As a trained Organic Gardener, the goal is to employ a holistic approach to fortify the local biodiversity through quantitative analysis, appropriate interventions, organic amendments, developing suitable planting, rotation and production methods to further foster the native environment and optimize the use of available resources specific to each site. In exchange for their temporary use (Jan-Mid April 2022) the plot will be ready for second planting mid April and the ongoing use of by the new owner for years to come. What you will receive: -The foundations for a permanent organic food system that produces nutrient dense foods without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides with minimal maintenance from otherwise unused space, should you choose (or we will remove all associated materials when complete) -A share of the non GMO, organically grown crop fresh from your property -Guidance on how to best manage this and other resources on your site -The potential for cash remuneration for the right plot with desired resources What I require: -An area where a bed can be established or an existing plot with a minimum of six feet by twelve feet or allocation of approximately 75 sq ft of planting area -Exclusive access to the plot between Jan and mid April during daylight hours (never before 9am or after 5pm) -Access to water onsite or the ability to place water containers for my use near to the plot -Ideally, the bed/area would be full to partial sun, secured against rabbits and deer, have a water connection for my use and parking nearby To inquire please send along a picture of the space as it sits currently with a note of which direction the image was taken and at what time.
