Seasonal Nursery Work - Thinning

We are Arbutus Grove Nursery, a family owned, and operated nursery located in North Saanich on Vancouver Island. We grow containerized tree seedlings for reforestation, as well as Christmas tree farms and native plant nurseries. We are looking for people to join our team for these seasonal harvest and sowing periods/contracts: THINNING March 18 – June 15 7:30-4:30 M-Fri 8.5 hr days. PAY: Thinning is a modified piece rate. (Min wage 16.95 $/hr with additional production paid) Full-time available, part-time can be negotiated. DUTIES: -Thinning involves going over each container and removing doubles and transplanting extra germinants into empty seedling cavities. This job has a modified piece rate incentive.
