$699 · Vintage Handcrafted Cartographer's Drawer

This vintage solid oak and cedar map case was constructed by hand, by a master craftsman. It has recently been completely restored and refinished. It is all solid wood and the top is made of solid oak with cedar inlays. The five drawers have all been meticulously aligned and waxed so they "glide like butter". The original drawer pulls have been updated with new crystal pulls. The back has also been finished so it does not have to go against a wall and could be used as an island. The last step in the restoration was to apply several coats of antiquing wax to give it a beautiful smooth, yet durable finish. Although originally a map case, it can be used as a flat file drawer or as an artist drawer. It measures 34" X 34" X 34". This is a one of a kind. There is not another one like it.
