Earn $20 for participation in an Online Family Activity Study

Hello! The Behavioural Medicine Lab at the University of Victoria want to see if you would be interested in our minimal commitment Family Physical Activity Study! WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: COMPENSATION - $20 for your participation in a 90 minute online presentation FREE INFORMATION on how to help your children maintain physical activity for life EASY MATERIALS that help you to teach your child the value of physical activity MINIMAL COMMITMENT! - Approximately 60-90 minutes total! RESEARCH - Your feedback would help inform a larger study aimed at helping Canadian children maintain heir health Does your child participate in less than 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity at least one day of the week? We are currently seeking Canadian families with children between the ages of 6 and 12 who are not meeting physical activity guidelines (60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity a day). We need at least one parent or guardian to participate with their child. If you meet these criteria, we would love to have you take part. I have outlined more detailed information about the study below. The study has minimal commitment! It takes place over 1 or 3 days. There are three online sessions (done through Zoom or Skype). Participating families can choose to complete the 90 minutes all at once, or split up 30 minutes over 3 days. Our lab is looking for your valuable feedback on the feasibility of this study. Any comments you would choose to provide will help us in constructing a separate and much longer study to help families become more active. Your family would also gain materials to get more active! In addition, you would also be contributing to local health promotion research and helping families like your own.
