CAD Technician / Drafting / Engineering Graphics

Specific Mechanical Systems Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of craft brewing and distillation equipment. The Engineering team requires an experienced Mechanical Drafting Technician to help design, document and create detailed fabrication drawings for manufacturing. This role requires a mature, well-rounded person with the ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker that is able to meet tight deadlines, work well with a diverse and committed team and has excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: * Prepare drawings and technical specifications for brewing, distilling, and other industrial equipment * Review project documents for compliance to project specifications and industry standards * Understand project scopes and ensure designs are configured appropriately * Producing error-free drawings using best drafting practices. Qualifications and Key Capabilities: * Drafting tecnician or Graphics Technician diploma (or similar credential) * 1 year of applicable manufacturing/fabrication industry experience * Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes * Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required * Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills * Leadership skills considered an asset * Ability to maintain a high level of professional performance in a dynamic environment * Ability to communicate effectively with teammates is mandatory Key Competencies: * Critical thinking and problem solving * Planning and organizing * Works precisely and pays close attention to details and drives for excellence * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work with other engineers and technical support staff * Punctual with a strong work ethic How to Apply: Email resume, cover letter, and work references to hr@specific.net Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
