Mature, British Trained Nanny ( NNEB) with an education degree from the UK and an ECE from Canada looking for a new family with 1 or 2 children Extensive experience ( over 20 years ) with all ages from new borns up ( trained in new- born care ) toddlers, kindergarten, school aged. ( Can help with homework too if needed , as I was a former public school teacher) Family with any kind or number of pets most welcome ( incl fish, big dogs, chickens) Bear Mountain, Colwood, Metchosin, Langford, Veiw Royal areas ( sorry only in Westshore areas ) 25 to 30 hours a week . My philosophy based on Jean Piaget training , child centered learning ( familar wih Montessori ) . My mantra " It may be that some behavior might not be acceptable....but never the child" I am consistent, kind, funny, nuturing, creative and compassionate and always use positve redirection when communicating with children Amazing refs and current CRC and Childcare 1st Aid Day care spots are getting harder and harder to obtain.
