BC Certified High School Teacher

Maria Montessori Academy is an independent school in Victoria offering dynamic, hands-on learning to students from Preschool to Grade 12. This is a community based school boasting low student/teacher ratios and an all-around excellent working environment. We are currently seeking a BC certified High School teacher to join our senior school team from April 23rd, 2019 - June 2020 with possible extensions. Our High School is comprised of approximately 75 students taught by a dedicated team of 6 teachers. Each of the teachers is responsible for supporting curriculum in all the core areas and each has a specialty area enabling them to facilitate the higher-level courses. In this case, we are seeking a candidate who can deliver Math 10,11, and 12; Entrepreneurship 12; and Personal World (Career Ed) 9/10. While having Montessori experience is certainly an asset, it is not an expectation. The successful candidate would join a team of educators passionate about providing a holistic learning experience for adolescents. It is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative, responsive, and meaningful teaching team.
