$900 · Sweet Marble is Looking to be Adopted!

Marble is looking for an ACTIVE and CAPABLE home on Vancouver Island immediately. He is a 1-year-old Saluki cross that was brought over to Canada by Fur Bae Rescue and has made incredible progress in the short time he's been here. He is looking for a dog-savvy home that can help take him to the top! Marble is a highly sensitive and intelligent young dog that could become the perfect companion with the right leadership. This boy LOVES to run and play and is looking for a household (definitely with a yard!) who could be his partner(s) in fun and adventure. His current foster has been working on his recall, and he loves hitting the trails with her - already has mastered being off-leash)! We are looking for someone on Vancouver Island who would be willing to work with Marble on his resource guarding and manners. We have a trainer who knows and loves him already if you need any help along the way! Preferably no young kids in the house as he has a history of nipping due to negative learned behaviour and feeling like he needs to protect any resource he accumulates. However, we are positive this is just a bad habit that can be fixed with training - as he's already come so far. He is crate trained and super cuddly. His current foster has been working on his previous insecurities and issues with resource guarding. Whoever adopts him needs to be willing to keep working on teaching him his proper puppy skills with lots of love, adequate corrections, and exercise. He has been thriving at the daycare his foster mom takes him to in Shawnigan Lake and has been learning all the ways to be an excellent mannered pup.
