3 Yr Old Dog

Posting for a friend. Seeking a forever home for a three year old large mix breed dog. (Some say he looks like a shepherd leonberger cross) This pup needs to be a working dog with a job to do during the day. He is not a cuddly family dog and most likely never will be. He is a friendly dog he doesn't bite or get aggressive, he is just so full of energy all the time he doesn't know what to do. I think he has guardian breed in him so would be best suited for farm life. He needs one person who is around a lot or is able to take him with you on errands. He is not good with other dogs on his property but will mostly tolerate other dogs in a social setting. He is unpredictable around children. He suffers greatly from insecurity and anxiety so leaving him home alone for hours at a time does not work. His current owner has spent a lot of time training and working with this pup but he has proven to be too much for her. He is an incredible guard dog and will endlessly protect his owner and property. Never will you have to worry about bears or cougars on your land. He needs someone who is serious about putting in the time and effort. Only serious inquiries will be considered and a proper vetting of the situation would be necessary. This dog is not unloved. He's just a lot of dog for one lady.
