Sidney Courier - Delivery Driver, Independent contractor Full Time - Average pay $25-$35/hour Do you enjoy driving? We are looking for an independent contractor with a vehicle suitable for courier services including vans to join our team. This position allows for schedule flexibility and Sidney Courier values work life balance and will work with you to create a perfect fit. As a delivery driver you will load and unload packages of up to 50 lbs and deliver them to businesses and homes from Sidney to the Westshore. This position is fast paced and rewards hard work. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver packages in a timely and efficient manner. Excellent customer service skills. Must be available to work Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays required. Comfortable using a smartphone Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time, including climbing stairs Self-motivated, responsible and punctual. Efficient time management. Effective communication skills with our customers and operational team. Ability to follow the direction of Supervisor / Dispatcher. Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to drive in traffic QUALIFICATIONS: MUST have a valid Class 5 driver license, no N / L. MUST be over 21 years of age. Must carry commercial vehicle insurance Work Safe BC Insured Clean drivers abstract. Great knowledge of the southern Vancouver Island area Courier or delivery driver experience an asset. Attention to detail and ability to multitask Strong communication skills. Ability to supply and operate your own vehicle Must pass a criminal background check Capable of working under time constraints to get packages delivered to customers on time.
