As the Landscape Horticulturist, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our landscape projects. You will work closely with our clients and team members to create and maintain living art. You will conduct site evaluations, plan layouts, and select plants to ensure each space grows and thrives properly. Duties: Conduct site evaluations and assessments to determine landscape design requirements. Design and plan landscape layouts, considering factors such as plant selection, irrigation systems, and environmental impact. Select and source plants, trees, and other landscaping materials. Install and maintain landscapes, including planting, mulching, fertilizing, and watering. Monitor plant health and diagnose and treat diseases and pests as needed. Collaborate with clients, landscape designers, and other team members to ensure project objectives are met. Operate a bobcat, tractor, truck trailer, mower, and other small equipment. Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in horticulture and landscape design practices. A diploma or degree in Horticulture is an asset- A combination of education and experience will be considered. Strong knowledge of planting zone 8 and zone 9. Strong abilities in prioritizing and managing time effectively. Proficiency in written and spoken English communication. Dependable team player with a proactive attitude to anticipate company requirements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license. Reliable vehicle to get to and from job sites.
