THE OPPORTUNITY Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-TimeSheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. The shifts are Monday to Friday. THE RESPONSIBILITIES - Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers - Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities - Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications - Cut and bend metal flashings, utilizing shear and break - Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications - Maintain Metal Shop (assembling orders in a neat fashion, and maintaining a clean work space) - Carry out equipment inspections, servicing and minor maintenance. - Schedule all incoming orders and communicate lead times as required - Maintain inventory of materials - Provide superior customer service - Practice and promote workplace safety standards - All other duties as assigned by manager THE REQUIREMENTS - Training and/or experience in sheet metal fabrication is an asset - Weight Handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) - Manual dexterity - Forklift experience is an asset - A positive can do attitude is essential! - Effective interpersonal skills - Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work overtime when required
