We are hiring a Barista at Township Coffee Co

Coffee, Food, Love! Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year being employed as a barista, including espresso-based drink preparation, and some coffee education and experience with extraction ratio knowledge being an asset. Our Baristas are capable of trouble shooting and working with a variety of coffees, and brew methods, as well as tea knowledge, and preparation of tea and maccha beverages. We are happy to support our barista with the expansion of their knowledge, and we will consider transferrable skills and experience. Our Township baristas prepare outrageously delicious beverages, and they are also community participants, and leaders. Barista experience and education are ideal, and integrity, reliability, accountability, and professional communication and approach are of the highest importance to our small, Love-based business. Coffee Food Love, is the message on our sign, and that pretty much sums up what we are up to, in our little Gordon Head shop. So the ideal candidate will also be interested in upholding our intentions of connection, kindness, nurturance, and excellence in our respective crafts. Our new barista will be a person who can work in collaboration with other team members, and communicate effectively, and kindly with others. Ideally, they can take direction, learn new systems, and follow instructions, as well as be able to take initiative when appropriate, work efficiently and independently, managing their work load autonomously, once they are fully trained-up, and running. We are located at 4343 Tyndall Road, in Gordon Head, we are open Monday-Friday 07:00am-5:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, open 08:00am-5:00pm.
