 Log In needed Volunteer Potter wanted for therapeutic recovery community

Our Place Society's New Roads, is a unique therapeutic recovery community located in View Royal that is dedicated to ending the cycle of substance use disorder, criminality and homelessness. New Roads is a positive, peer-led treatment environment that encourages appropriate behaviour through reinforcement and accountability. The practice and rehearsal of appropriate social interaction and interpersonal skills within a safe, supportive atmosphere allows residents to discover new attitudes, values, and ultimately a new way of life.

We are looking for a volunteer potter to run a two hour weekend afternoon program for 12 weeks with the male residents of New Roads. Class size will be up to the instructor. We have a potter's wheel and kiln in the community's art room. Clay will be supplied.
