Lime bicycles feature Shimano Coasting components and feature easy automatic shifting that provide absolute simplicity and elegant designs so all you have to do is hop on and pedal. For example, Limes have 3 easy-pedaling gears that shift automatically so you're always in the right gear! A sensor detects your speed and sends a message to a computer that puts you in the right gear. The turning of the front wheel generates the energy to operate the computer—there are no batteries. And all of this is hidden from view providing a clean, classic look. Lime bicycles are also equipped with coaster brakes; pedal forward and you go, pedal backwards and you stop. It doesn't get any easier than that.
