Victoria ARC 11,674 reviews Victoria, BC $18.30(probation) - $19.30 an hour HOURS WEEKLY : 37.5 hours/week WORK SCHEDULE: Saturday to Wednesday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Responsibilities Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance procedures for related equipment; recommends repairs and purchases as required. Performs a number of minor repairs and duties in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting; reports safety concerns and major repair issues (e.g. furniture and fixtures). Ensures the general upkeep of the facility such as cleaning the floors, washrooms, windows; dusting, collects and disposes of garbage and recycling materials. Checks, cleans, moves, arranges and dusts furniture as required. Ensures the general upkeep of external property such as mowing lawns, keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice, cleaning the main floor's outside windows, picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, raking, gardening/watering and pruning shrubs. Checks doors and windows to ensure building and resident security; provides access to the facility and secures the facility as needed. Restocks washroom supplies and distributes received material as required. Spot washes accessible walls, strips and waxes floors and shampoos carpets as required. Looks after recyclables within the facility including separating materials. Specifically cleans shower stalls to achieve an excellent cleanliness standard. Washes, waxes and buffs all hallways. Acts as Deputy Fire Warden/performs quarterly fire drills and submits reports to Management. Sprays and buffs rooms and dorms when needed. Replenishes cleaning supplies as needed. Assists the maintenance man when needed. Assists with laundry duties as required. Prepares rooms for meetings and cleans rooms after use. Cleans all operations department equipment after use daily. Completes reports as necessary on facility condition / operation. Works as part of the Operations Staff Team. Performs other duties as assigned.
