Rex - Golden Retriever Dog

Shelter: BC SPCA - Victoria Branch Animal ID: 512901 Birthdate: July 03, 2016 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Meet Rex! Rex has been eagerly awaiting his new home from the comfort of his foster dad's house! We've gotten to know Rex fairly well in the mean time and we can't wait to introduce him to his new family! Rex is a sweet boy who loves to play ball more then anything! He will happily drop his ball whenever asked as long as you promise to give it back! he would ideally like a home with a yard where he can play catch all day long! Rex also loves to go for walks though he sometimes finds doorways scary and needs some coaxing to go through them. Rex can be around other dogs but doesn't particularly enjoy their presence, he prefers to ignore them in passing but will tell them to back off if they get too close for comfort. Rex has not been leash reactive while in care. Rex is house trained and would like a home where he can sleep on the couch. He is happy to sleep in his dog bed at night but likes to come up on the furniture for cuddles during the day. Rex is used to accompanying his foster dad to work and would be willing to tag along with his new parents on their work days. He can be left alone without destroying the house, but he would prefer to go with you on your errands. Rex is not a big fan of young children and believes cats were made for chasing. He is excited to have someone to explore beaches with (teach him to swim!) and to show off his fetch skills! Rex loves to cuddle and just be around people, he likes to be in the center of things. Oh, and one last thing! Rex likes to help ambulances by assisting with their siren noises - boy, can this pup howl! Besides that he is a quiet house guest!
