Research & Analytical Chemist

Talentcor Victoria is now accepting resumes for the full-time permanent position of Research & Analytical Chemist. Our client, located in the downtown core is looking to grow their team. Responsibilities: * Conduct research to discover, develop, refine & evaluate chemical processing techniques * Execute analytical essays by independently or cooperatively preparing reagents and consumables, preparing experimental setup, as well as analyzing results * Communicate clearly & promptly with project area leads * Maintain inventory, including ordering & tracking supply usage * Maintain chemistry lab in good order by housecleaning, disposing waste, cleaning glassware & removing expired chemicals/ reagents * Generate summaries & reports, communicating progress to team members Requirements: * Post-secondary graduate within the last 5 years * MSc in Biiology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Engineering (or relevant discipline) Skills & Qualifications: * Knowledge & skills in R&D & laboratory procedures working with chemicals, instrumentation, & computers * Experience with & ChemStation or OpenLab CDS is preferred * Experience with chromatographic analysis is preferred * Ability to demonstrate meticulous planning & organizational skills while maintaining adaptability * Excellent interpersonal communication * Excellent written & verbal communication, honest & transparent * Ability to work independently or within a group sharing information & assisting others * Ability to work in a highly regulated environment with a focus on SOPs * Proven time management skills & a strong attention to detail Please submit your resume to Rose Arsenault at rarsenault@talentcor.ca
