Beautiful pearl-metallic orange finish; immaculate, not a single scratch or scuff (some lines in the photos are reflections.) This model is the final iteration of the Pinarello magnesium frames, and also representative of the end of an era at Pinarello as it is the last model of Pinarello frame to be fully made in Italy from start to finish (the construction of all-carbon frames being partially offshored to China.) It was said by Fausto Pinarello to be the most expensive model they ever constructed by cost of goods, due to the custom-profile magnesium tubes, TIG welding, multi-step anti-corrosion ceramic frame coating, multi-step pearl/metallic paint finish, oversize steerer tube bearings, etc and all-Italian labour. The pearl orange was only offered for one year, and in my opinion is the most striking color. I had the opportunity to ride one years ago, and fell in love the combination of dampness, yet responsiveness and weight. I tracked down a new frame in my size from the final remaining stock at Pinarello. Other priorities and activities took hold soon after, and the time has come to let it go to someone who will start racking up the miles on this piece of Italian craftmanship.
