$675 · One bedroom near mayfair

I have one bedroom, $675 monthly all inclusive, opening up in a beautiful 5 bedroom character house near the Mayfair area October 1st onward. A female is preferred to share the upper floor and bathroom with one other. In the past I have rented these rooms out to foreign exchange students but, things being what they are these days, I'm looking for a longer term arrangement that's more reliable as bills in this large character home can be a little daunting. Rent includes onsite laundry, sewer, water, CRD fees, hydro, garbage collection, gas and high speed wifi. The room comes furnished but I can move things around to accomodate if you have your own stuff. We also have tons of storage in the full unfinished basement for bicycles and boxes etc. This big house has a great kitchen (shared) with two refrigerators , gas range, dishwasher and hot water on demand so there are never any cold surprises or line ups while using any of our three bathrooms. There is also a large back deck and good sized yard perfect for barbecues or gardening opportunities. We are located just a one minute walk to the #8 bus route serving both camosun college campuses as well as the Mayfair and Hillside shopping districts. The #6 Quadra bus is also a stones throw away to connect you downtown or north to Royal Oak. I have a daughter ,7, part time and a dog who share the back of the house with me. This set back in the house layout ensures we're never disturbed from noise in the living areas if you need to cook or watch tv after hours. Preference given to longer term stays and people who are accustomed to shared living arrangements. Household chores are shared so you better not be afraid of a mop bucket!
