$750 · One bedroom in a two-bedroom suite for rent

ABOUT US: You'd be living with a couple, made up of two fun and hardworking young-pros: a 21 y/o who works fulltime as a safety officer in construction, and a 22 y/o who works for a non-profit and a fulltime student at UVic. You would also be living with our beautiful golden retriever, Piper. She is super gentle, and will love you forever if you throw the ball for her or rub her belly. We are looking for someone who is on a similar schedule to us, likes their space but would be open to a couple drinks on the weekend, and someone around our age. Someone who is cleanly/tidy is a must! We are an LGBTQ+ friendly home, and our main priority is to create a safe and comfortable space to lounge and relax in once we finish up our busy days. ABOUT THE HOME: Located in a quiet neighbourhood, our suite is below the main level of a family home, so expect some noise on school mornings or early evenings, but it is very manageable and the neighbourhood is quiet. Features include a newly fenced backyard, large living area, brand new appliances, and some pretty cool roommates! We will be getting new windows very soon and am having some planter boxes build in the backyard for a veggie or flower garden. We are also the first ones to live in this suite. The home is very close to multiple bus routes, especially the #6 which comes every 15 minutes or so. The suite is also located close to the Royal Oak Shopping Centre and Saanich Centre. Only downside is shared laundry with the main level and no dishwasher, but we definitely make it work! There is also room on the street for parking if you have a car. ABOUT THE ROOM: The room looks deceiving in the pictures as it's actually a decent size and includes a double closet that isn't pictured. The bed in the picture is a (large) queen, so a double will give you plenty of space! You have a large window facing the back yard and have your own thermostat to control the temperate of your room. Rent is $750 + utilities, move in date is Sept 1st with possibility of earlier. We will signing a new lease that will end on December 15th, and are ideally looking for someone who would sign on again when the current one is up!
