$800 · Old Reliable 1996 Toyota Camry DX

A great runner for daily, in-town driving that could have a couple good years left in the tank. Cheap on gas. Auto transmission. Minor issues: front and back brakes are mostly gone, but still perform fine at low speeds. I even drive it up island from time to time, but it's road-tripping days are probably best left behind it unless it gets a brake-job. It could use a new battery, but still starts consistently (just needs to be given a little gas while starting if it's been sitting for a while). For some reason I can't always get the hood to latch - it's zap-strapped down currently. The passenger side mirror is missing (just the glass, not the whole mirror itself. Can be fixed cheap at an auto glass place). There's a small dent in front of the driver's door, and some minor rust around the rear-passenger wheel well (see photos). Suspension is just starting to get a little creaky. It was taken to the shop for a full service/check over just a few weeks ago, so the oil is new and other fluids were topped up. The only issues identified were the breaks and some internal oil leaks, but I've been watching and have seen no signs of the leakage. I am moving to Vancouver at the end of July (very soon!) and would love to find a new home for this car, which was bought new by my girlfriend's family in 1996 and well maintained. We only have 1 parking space at our new home, otherwise it would be making the trip with us. We would prefer to drop the car off with its new owner on August 2nd so that my girlfriend can drive it to an important exam (I'll have her car in Vancouver that day), but if you need wheels immediately we can make that work too. 800 bucks OBO. Please don't delay as I'd like to get this taken care of before the move. Thanks!
