The Victoria Heart House is a 6 bedroom, two level, non-profit B & B that serves as a "home-away-from-home" for patients and family members arriving in Victoria for open heart and other cardiovascular surgeries. The Heart House offers a friendly, supportive, and relaxing environment and is located close to the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Seeking a mature, compassionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Applicant must have the ability to work independently and without supervision. Would suit a homemaker with grown family. This is a casual position 2-3 days per week and coverage for holiday and sick time. Regular shifts are mornings and afternoons on a rotating basis from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Duties will include, but are not limited to: * Daily housekeeping: changing bedding cleaning bathrooms cleaning the kitchen Sweep, vacuum, dust and laundry * Preparing light breakfast * Computer skills * Answering the telephone * Booking guests on a computerized Reservation System (Rez Expert) training will be provided * Checking guests in and out * Socializing, talking with guests Please submit your resume and cover letter to by email admin@fohs.bc.ca or fax (250) 595-2137 Starting Salary: $15.00.
