When many people started asking for the wagons, the "Liberty Coaster Company" was born, and then re-named "Radio Steel & Manufacturing" in 1930, when they started producing steel-bodied wagons. The classic "Radio Flyer" wagons were so named to honour two famous men of the time — an inventor and an engineer (Marconi, who was first to broadcast a RADIO signal, and Lindbergh, who was the first FLYER to solo across the Atlantic). This stylish "Town and Country" classic wagon version is new, solid wood, fully assembled, and has removable sides, which makes it versatile, in case you ever need to turn it into a sturdy work horse of a flatbed hauling vehicle for easily moving heavy items weighing up to 150 pounds.
