This 36" Nilus LeClerc counterbalance 4 shaft floor loom was made in Quebec, with a colonial finish and is in great condition. 44" wide X 52" high X 33" deep (but folds up while warped to decrease the depth at 25" so it can fit through doorways without disassembly). The front and back beams handily lift off to make threading easy. All medal heddles replaced with texsolv heddles, which makes it very quiet. The weaving bench with flip-top storage, and the warping board come with the loom, along with 7 stick shuttles, 2 rag shuttles, 17 lease sticks, 5 bobbins, 3 reeds, magazines, books and wool. The Nilus was first produced in 1969 and is one of LeClerc's most popular looms with thousands in operation around the world. Currently they sell for $3450 and but the great news is the parts and support continue to be easily available. The counterbalance looms weave pattern wefts without distortion and eliminates the alternating tight and loose tension during weaving on a jack loom.
