This late 1800's astrolabe case stored Mathematical, Philosophical, and Optical instruments. The inscription label reads that it was made for the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke Cumberland. If anything it's a very interesting conversational piece. Item as the scratch of ages on it and some hinges need to be attached better. Size: 19" x 17 x 5" approximately
