We've been serving the southern island for over 70 years, providing reliable, quality excavating for municipal, commercial, and residential projects. We are looking for a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team for a 10-6:30, Tuesday through Saturday shift; we're searching for someone who shares our passion for people and our core values. Key Qualifications · High School Diploma required; · Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal required; · 3+ years' heavy equipment diagnosis, repairs, maintenance & testing; · Civil construction or excavation industry experience an asset; · Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills; · Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license; Class 1 with Air Brake preferred. Key Duties · Completes equipment diagnostics, maintenance & repairs; · Works with safety in mind to minimize workplace incidents; · Works to maximize DME equipment efficiency through pro-active maintenance, maximizing up-time and minimizing down-time.
