GIS TECHNICIAN to start In January (Victoria)

GIS TECHNICIAN for Victoria Company to start at some point in January (Victoria) We are looking for a productive person with a keen eye for detail. The work tends to be varied so you will be able to develop your skills on a multitude of tasks. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary project: Researching spatial feature locations and digitizing site locations using ESRI ArcGIS. Corresponding attribute data capture will be carried out in MS Access. A variety of other projects will be undertaken in addition to the primary project. This includes quality assurance testing a multitude of applications, developing training materials, undertaking GIS analysis, and making mapping products. Mandatory Requirements to be addressed in resume: 1. Must have a university degree or alternatively a college degree related to GIS 2. Must have ESRI ArcGIS software and GIS experience 3. Must be located within daily commuting distance to Victoria BC Requirements to be addressed specifically in cover letter (maximum 1.5 pages): 1. Must be meticulous and detail oriented 2. Proficiency in editing spatial features using ArcGIS preferred 3. Must be available to start work in January 2019 (date the be discussed) 4. Experience with spatial data capture preferred 5.
