Christ Church Cathedral School is an Anglican Elementary and Middle School located in downtown Victoria, BC. We are looking for a dynamic French teacher who loves working with children from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our students love learning French. They sing and act in French, they do research and write in French, they make presentations in French, and they save up to go to Quebec or France with their middle school peers! Required: * Certification under the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) of the Ministry of Education of BC * Demonstrated excellence designing, facilitating, and assessing the effectiveness of learning activities for students * Post-Secondary French education or demonstrated facility with French Preferred candidates will also have: * 5 year B.Ed. degree; * excellent interpersonal and communication skills; * a demonstrated ability to use technology to support student learning; * a passionate, energetic and yet considered approach to education; * an ability to collaborate, plan, organize, and contribute to the educational team; * experience with a wide variety of teaching and assessment strategies that will engage a diverse group of students; * the ability to coach sports teams or contribute unique talents to our extensive extra-curricular programming.
