This beautiful instrument was made by Otto Bruckner of Markneukirchen, Germany in 1929, and is a copy of a Jacob Stainer violin. Numbered 137, it was fitted with a bridge by James Croft of Winnipeg and sold to it's current family there in 1939. Stored since 1945 it recently received new strings, fine tuner, end button, tail gut and saddle as well as regluing of finger board and belly by luthier James Ham of Victoria. The body length is 355 millimeters. Please arrange to see and hear this violin, and I can bring it to you to play in the Victoria area.
