FREE Trades Employment Program Is it time to earn good money and build real skills? Are you between 17 and 29 years old? Are you a hands-on learner who is able to multi task on the fly? Have you considered the construction Industry? The average starting wage in construction here in Victoria is over $18.00/hr, with Journeymen (after 4 years) earning $40.00-$60.00/hr. Construct Your Future is a FREE eight-week program hosted by the Vancouver Island Construction Association. You will learn in our virtual classroom, on job real sites, independently, and as a team. Our program offers a ton of incentives to help you succeed including; a 15 dollar/hr training wage, steel toed boots, work clothes, PPE, as well as additional financial supports to offset the cost of food, internet, transportation and more. Construct Your Future offers the industry certifications you need including Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry and Forklift Operation. You will receive hands-on training on real work sites, build strength and endurance through daily fitness, plus explore over 100 construction trades.
