As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, the DVBA is looking to hire an Engagement Marketing Assistant to support our marketing campaigns, key programs, and to implement our content strategy. Areas of responsibility: As our Engagement Marketing Assistant, you will be assigned a mixed and varied workload which may include - Assisting with marketing research, marketing communications, and promotions Attending strategy and planning meetings with our in-house marketing and events team Promoting the DVBA's programs and events by developing marketing and promotional materials - this includes photography, videography, writing for the web, and social media (and other related duties) Supporting our upcoming AGM (June 20) and the release of our first annual report on downtown Working closely with the in-house team to ensure marketing engagement goals are reached Providing marketing support to realize our content strategy - this will include setting up, categorizing, and populating our FLICKR account, and optimizing our YouTube channel Actively participating in the marketing and promotion of DVBA's events, such as: Car Free YYJ, Buskers Festival, and the Pride Parade Hands-on, training, and mentoring will be provided during your eight-week employment term. After eight weeks with the DVBA, you will have gained real world skills in digital and traditional advertising, media relations, and using social media to realize marketing and events promotion objectives.
