Caffe Fantastico is a busy local family company with 3 locations. We have a need to fill our custodian position. This job offers great long-term stability and excellent benefits. We seek an experienced applicant who: - has a strong work ethic and ability to problem solve - wants to be part of a great team of staff - has a strong attention to detail and a keen awareness of surroundings - is progressive thinking and environmentally minded - has great cleaning skills and knowledge of cleaning products and procedures - has a good understanding of basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems - is self motivated and highly organized - is able to complete work in timely manner to a high standard - possesses strong verbal and email communication and customer service skills Position will be 5 days per week from 4:30pm to midnight and occasional afternoons. Primarily work independently and will act as supervisor to relief staff. Position will have access to van but will need own transportation for daily travel between stores. Responsibilities and Duties - Cleaning customer and back of house flooring; mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning etc - Cleaning and sanitizing: washrooms, mirrors, walls, doors, sinks, toilets, partitions and floors - Replenishing and restocking paper and soap supplies - Dusting customer and office areas; ceilings, lights, vents, ledges, walls and other areas - Assisting with janitorial support during special events; any special cleaning needs that arise before, during and after the function. (i.e. broken glass etc.) - Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the locations - Kitchen floors and equipment upkeep and repair - Building maintenance, machinery maintenance, furniture repair and refinishing - Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair Qualifications and Skills - Candidate must be physically fit and agile - Previous experience with Building Service Worker, First Aid, - Interaction with guests during evening shift and events; - Safe lifting (up to 50lbs), kneeling, pushing, pulling and stretching are all required to fulfill cleaning duties Extended medical and dental after 6 months plus daily food credit and Great Coffee!
